Microsoft 365 Mailserver Blacklisted by Spam Cop

Spamcop isn't responsible for Microsoft allowing SPAM and phishing through their servers. Not blocking them just because they're a big email provider would be irresponsible. The recipients or the folks being blocked should be yelling at someone, Microsoft, not Spamcop.

I don't disagree with you, but blocking whole IP ranges from a known vendor that hosts much of the email on the internet is shortsighted and lazy. They could be using better filtering techniques instead of blocking the O365 ranges. That's like them blocking Gmail.com addresses because they had some reported spam, of course they are going to get spam from the ranges.

Spamcop is ancient and a black box on how they operate. Notice they are an outlier - most other modern third party filters that people leverage DO NOT HAVE PROBLEMS with these Microsoft IP blocks. Why is that?

The target should be spamcop. Microsoft will spin up new IPs for load balancers and everything, and of course within seconds millions of messages will be sent from those IPs. Is spamcop only capable of detecting volume? Is there a threshold where spamcop goes "WHOA these IPs must be spamming, let's block the IP entirely!" It's a horribly unreasonable and non-technical approach to just ban the IP entirely and... then keep banning the other ones.

Anyone using spamcop needs to say "fix this right away". As Microsoft makes tweaks, which is great, no one knows what will satisfy spamcop, who alone has problems.

Yes, Microsoft needs to continue to adjust, and they will. But we all need to reflect on how many blocklists there are, and it's only one that has problems.

O365 sends out emails for multiple tenants from any number of IPs which we have no control over.

Of course spam is going to come from O365, so you just block everyone???

They don't care about us senders, do the recipients have to yell at them?

I sent a despute message to SpamCop an they replied with this. It seems to be that Microsoft has some Problems with their servers.

"This IP is assigned to a Microsoft Outlook server.  This is now weekthree since we have seen a large increase in the amount of phishing spamcoming from Outlook servers to our traps and users, resulting in theirratios being above our listing threshold at times.There is nothing we can do to stop or slow the spam from Outlook and ourobligation continues to be to warn our user the mail is coming from anIP address with a poor reputation for sending spam and malicious mail.The decision to reject your mail is made by that user, not us.You will have to take your complaint to Microsoft as only they cancontrol the spam volume from their network so the IP will delist.  Thisis completely in their control.
