If you believe it to be hacked, I would recommend changing your password and enabling 2FA:

Enable 2FA

My account was hacked on 21 January 2024. Amex called me and found unusual google payment unauthorised transactions and my Facebook account was hacked as a result of my hotmail account being hacked.
I have changed microsoft password. But saw unusual activity from the safety check microsoft provided .
My family and I live in Brisbane and I only use my devices (mainly iPhone +61 401134563) to access hotmail through outlook app. Other activities apart from my devices and out of Brisbane are highly suspicious meaning hacked.
