High CPU for multiple processes Microsoft 365

In the last several days I have noticed my laptop CPU fan blowing constantly. The culprit seems to be 4 identical processes using the same amount of CPU as each other continuously hovering at about 8-12%. This keeps the fan blowing 24/7.
The Task Manager shows the Process name as "Microsoft 365 and Office (32 bit)" and no Office applications are running. When I view the details the executable names are "odt____.tmp.exe" with the underscores representing some 3- 4-character hex value, e.g. C67A.
I can end the tasks but they come back after a time and the CPU fan turns on again.
What are these processes and can I turn them off?

2024-01-04T21:53:58+00:00 Our only way to stop so far was to disable the push of the package through our MDM. It does not uninstall it just stops trying to push it. It is not Intune but same general thought process.

2024-01-04T21:47:11+00:00 Seeing this on an intune joined device here. Even after updating to the latest version of Office, a few of these files are still present in task manager.
Would love to know a solution!

2024-01-04T13:48:26+00:00 This was what support advised but for those running on an MDM, Intune or otherwise, they would also have to stop the app package from forcing an update after this downgrade.
