Copilot not creating presentations from word documents...

Hi, I recently purchased a subscription for copilot pro. All my office apps are up to date and I can see the copilot button in the ribbon. The issue I am having is that copilot won't create a presentation in powerpoint form a file - it has no idea what I'm talking about. Has anyone experienced this and found a fix?

Conor (and all the other folks who've been having trouble with this missing feature):

TL;DR: Those of us with regular Office subscriptions cannot use this feature.

Microsoft has done a less than stellar job of explaining the new CoPilot feature and which versions of Office get what features.

The ability to create a presentation from a Word file is only available to users who:

a) Have an ENTERPRISE license for Office 365, and

b) Whose enterprise bosses have paid the $30/month per user fee for CoPilot

The *specific* name of the required product is "Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365" as distinct from CoPilot or CoPilot Pro.

    You need to delete all the slides (also the first one) from the presentation or template. Then Copilot will show the option to create power point from a document. Unfortunately for me, although the option is there, it starts "Yes, I can do that" and after sometime it concludes it cannot due to some errors. And I have not found any solution to that.

    I unfortunately am having the same issue. I have MS 365 and added on Co-Pilot pro to specifically help me with professional deliverable quality decks and not only am I having trouble getting the program to help with detail and graphics slide by slide... I'm also unable to set up the deck in word or notes and have a presentation created in my company format.

    I need help creating a deliverable presentation this week and feel like if this was working correctly it might be helpful for the final product but I'm constantly running into issues and am spending more time trying to troubleshoot than building the deck I need to finalize... help! ;-)

    Thanks for the information. According to my information, the link is outdated and it no longer works.

    The correct link (at least as of now) is:

    The statement is relatively clear: For Copilot Pro users, no matter which basic subscription (Family or other), this must be possible:

    For me (Microsoft 365 Family + Copilot Pro) I have no selection "Create a presentation from (file)":

    The whole problem runs through all apps, including Outlook new. This function is one of the most important within the apps, in addition to accessing Copilot via the taskbar, which does not work for me at least.
