A powerful, cloud-based language translation tool developed by Microsoft.
Hello Shada,
Whilst there's no direct Microsoft platform to assist with this you can leverage a combination of tools available in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications as stated below:
- Microsoft PowerPoint with Translator for Subtitles: 1.1)Use Microsoft PowerPoint to create a presentation with the script of the video. 1.2)Install the "Microsoft Translator" add-in for PowerPoint (if it's not already installed). 1.3)Next translate the script/dialogue from English to Italian using the Translator add-in within PowerPoint. 1.4)Record the narration for each slide in English using the built-in "Record Slide Show" feature in PowerPoint. 1.5)Use the "Translate Slides" feature in PowerPoint to generate a translated version of the presentation with Italian subtitles.
ALTERNATIVELY you can use it with recorded narration
1.6)Record your narration in English for each slide using the "Record Slide Show" feature in PowerPoint. 1.7)Use the "Translate Slides" feature to create a copy of the presentation with Italian subtitles. 1.8)Play the narrated English presentation while displaying the Italian subtitles.
2)Microsoft Azure Speech Services (Optional for Advanced Users) 2.1)You can transcribe the English audio from your video using Azure Speech to Text, translate the transcript to Italian, and then use Azure Text to Speech to generate Italian audio for dubbing.
3)Microsoft Stream for Video Hosting and Subtitles: 3.1)Upload your original English video to Microsoft Stream, which is a video hosting platform integrated with Microsoft Office 365. 3.2)Use the translated PowerPoint presentation with Italian subtitles created earlier and play the video in Microsoft Stream while displaying the translated subtitles from the PowerPoint presentation.
I hope the following solutions above can help you dub a video from english to italian with the Microsoft tools and should you have further problems/concerns please do not hesitate to contact me again.
Thanks,
Parth P.
