Excel won't print more than one copy

Friends,

I just downloaded MS Office 365 for Mac. Excel will not let me print more than one copy of a spreadsheet. I spent time on the phone with Canon trying to resolve the issue (I have Canon printers). It is not a Canon issue (they said). Note: I can print as many copies as I want from Word documents. Also, I had no issue with printing multiple copies from Excel Office 2016 for Mac on my older MacBook. The issue seems to be with 365.

On another note: Word 365 messed up a nearly 300 page document I opened from Office 2016. The pagination (formatting or something) is all different. Which, wouldn't be a problem, except that I'm still printing section by section as we go through it and now the page numbers don't align). Though, I can print as many copies as I want, even from this document - just not from Excel.

Brian, I agree. Best suggestion I have is to completely uninstall Office and reinstall a fresh clean version. This way you will know it is not Excel and must be something affecting it!

Uninstall Office from a PC - Microsoft Support Scroll down to Option 2. Don't forget to 'restart' your computer to finish the process, 'not shutdown'

Sorry Brian, this may be a waste of time:

    1. Click on the Apple menu and select System Preferences.
    2. Click on Printers & Scanners.
    3. Right-click (or control-click) on the list of printers on the left-hand side and select Reset printing system.
    4. Confirm that you want to reset the printing system by clicking on Reset.
    5. Restart your Mac.
    6. Add your printer back to the list of printers by clicking on the + button.

After resetting the printing system and adding your printer back, try printing multiple copies from Excel again. Let me know if this solution works for you.

I apologize for the inconvenience you are experiencing. Here are a few more troubleshooting steps you can try:

    1. Open the Excel file you want to print and click on "File" in the top left corner.
    2. Click on "Print" and then click on "Printer Properties" or "Printer Settings."
    3. Look for an option that says "Collate" and make sure it is checked.
    4. If "Collate" is already checked, try unchecking it and then checking it again.
    5. Click "OK" to save the changes and then try printing multiple copies again.

If this does not work, you can try updating your printer drivers or reinstalling Microsoft 365. If the issue persists, please contact Microsoft support for further assistance. Contact Us - Microsoft Support (Sign in at top of page)

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with printing multiple copies of a spreadsheet in Excel on your Mac. This issue may be related to the printer settings in Excel. To resolve this issue, please try the following steps:

    1. Open the Excel spreadsheet that you want to print multiple copies of.
    2. Click on the "File" menu and select "Print".
    3. In the print dialog box, click on the "Copies & Pages" dropdown menu and select "Layout".
    4. In the "Layout" section, make sure that the "Pages per Sheet" option is set to "1".
    5. In the "Copies" section, enter the number of copies that you want to print.
    6. Click on the "Print" button to print your spreadsheet.

Not sure this applies to Mac!

If the issue persists, you may want to try resetting the printing system on your Mac. To do this, please follow these steps:

    1. Click on the "Apple" menu and select "System Preferences".
    2. Click on "Printers & Scanners".
    3. Right-click (or control-click) on the list of printers and select "Reset printing system".
    4. Confirm that you want to reset the printing system.
    5. Restart your Mac and try printing your Excel spreadsheet again.

Regarding the issue with Word 365, it's possible that the formatting of the document was affected during the conversion process from Office 2016 to Office 365. To resolve this issue, you may want to try resetting the formatting of the document or contacting Microsoft support for further assistance.

    Hello Brian H,

I'm Shalom and I'd happily help you with your question. In this forum, we are Microsoft consumers just like yourself.

I’m sorry to hear that you are having trouble with printing multiple copies from Excel 365 for Mac. Here are some possible solutions that I found from the web:

Check your printer settings: Make sure that you have selected the correct printer, paper size, orientation, and number of copies in the print dialog box. Also, check if there is a collate option and enable it if you want to print multiple copies in order.

Define print areas on each worksheet: Printing is far less troublesome if print areas are set. You can do this by selecting the range of cells that you want to print, and then clicking Page Layout > Print Area > Set Print Area2.

Try a different driver: Some users reported that switching from the Classic Universal Driver to the KX driver solved their problem. You can download the latest drivers from the Kyocera website

Print the entire workbook: Instead of printing individual worksheets, you can try printing the entire workbook at once. In the print dialog box, specify the number of copies and choose Entire Workbook from the Print dropdown menu.

Create a PDF file and print from there: As a workaround, you can save your Excel file as a PDF and then print as many copies as you want from the PDF viewer. To do this, go to File > Save As and choose PDF from the File Format dropdown menu.

I hope these suggestions help you resolve your issue.

    Best Regards, Shalom
