Rejects my log in credentials as invalid even tho I’ve changed passwords oodles of times. Received email about monitoring alerts but since I can’t log in I can’t take steps to protect myself. What’s up?

Here are some steps you can try:

    Check Internet Connection:

Ensure that your internet connection is stable.

Sometimes login issues occur due to network problems.

    Update Microsoft Defender:

Make sure you have the latest updates installed for Microsoft Defender.

Go to the App Store and check for any available updates.

    Restart Microsoft Defender:

    Quit the Microsoft Defender app.

Reopen it and try logging in again.

    Reset Microsoft Defender:

If the issue persists, you can try resetting the app.

Right-click on the Microsoft Defender icon in the Dock.

    Choose Options and then Reset.

Reopen the app and try logging in.

    Check System Preferences:

Go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy.

    Click on the Privacy tab.

Ensure that Microsoft Defender has the necessary permissions (such as Full Disk Access)."

Let me know if it helps or not.
