Microsoft should be sued class action by users for copying and deleting all files from local computer without notifying the user!!

Problem is, when we signed contracts with microscum, there's a clause stating "you can't file a class action lawsuit against them. They're after control of your information within your computer. Asked a rep a couple of years ago why they were entering my computer. The rep said, "we can't do that". with continuing issues from Microscum, I called Dell for assistance, they straightened my issues up. The only answer I received from Microscum, "Not compatible". Micro couldn't repair the issues they had just installed, without my permission. hmmmmm

I too would join this class action. My computer went into some kind of syncing mode, over a month ago, and still not fully recovered.

I didn't agree for all of my data and files to be taken, and not even if get everything local it's too late. All of my data has been moved and stored somewhere else.

Windows 10 on my computer performed an automatic update on May 27 and it corrupted the software to the point where it can't be repaired. I'm currently using an older computer because it will take me hours or days to work through this issue. I'm getting a file recovery program in hopes of being able to retrieve my lost files, then I'll have to format and reinstall Windows 10 on my computer hard drive and start over. A computer is personal property and no entity should be permitted to take it over and perform any updates without the owners express permission. Software updates of any kind should by law default to a disabled status that gives the owner complete control with the option of activating it. This would allow you to back up your computer before updates are installed, and allow you to restore your computer in the event of damage. Current laws that protect our homes from unreasonable searches without a warrant should be extended to our personal computers that are in our homes. Clauses in agreements that automatically permit software upgrades and intrusion into our computer should be against the law. Automatic updates should not be able to just take over. The only other option would be for everyone to just stop buying products that don't work the way we want them to - until they listen and give up what we want.

Nothing deleted, but the issue is that even if you select no for everything when starting up, they put your desktop and similar folder on one drive. So the file path that they are on is one drive you have to go back out to users to build it like it is supposed to be. Agree with lawsuit that this is a deceptive practice and it is done without consent. Currently working to get everything to my NAS and external harddrives and off of 'my computer' as it clearly is not.

Clearly, we are not alone. To add insult to injury in my case, the files and photos that they took from me without my knowledge exceeds the amount of 'free' space that I was allocated, so now they are chasing me to pay for extra space when I didn't want to use OneDrive at all for ANYTHING. Talk about a rort!
