Microsoft should be sue class action for copying and deleting all my files from my computer and moving it OneDrive cloud space without letting the user know...to get more money and subscription, MS has moved all my files onto Cloud and deleted from my C: drive!

This is done without the users permission or letting the user know of deleting files from the local drive.

I can understand if it copies to OneDrive location on the CLOUD.

NOw it has also made multiple copies and when I want a file I connot find it even!

What MS has done is by virtue of owning the desktop, they are forcing people to use OneDrive and moving files and filling it up on OneDrive so Microsoft can charge more money for cloud space when I did not want to remove it from my local hard drive and keep it on the cloud to begin with.

Now I had too many directories under Documents, they are saying I will have to copy one by one; that too create a zip for each directory and restore it....no easy way back from MS Cloud OneDrive back to the local hard drive.

This is unacceptable and created headaches for many users!!

Now I have to put in a lot of hours to reconstuct my files...

    The only workaround I have found is to PAUSE the program every 24 hours for the max time, which is 24 hours.

    I'm including these instructions only because some may need them if they are older adults, like myself.

    Do this by clicking on your system tray to see what is running on your computer. (sound, wifi, Bluetooth, etc.) there will be a cloud there, right click on it, Click the gear at the top, and select Pause Syncing (2 hours will be auto selected), scroll down to 24 hours. Set an alarm to do it again tomorrow.

    I just watched the Microsoft House hearing

    held June 13, 2024, regarding the 2023 hack that jeopardized the US Government's Secured communications and United States security. When asked why the public was not notified until six months after the initial report on several Microsoft blogs, they (Microsoft President) felt they didn't have any information to share with them (us). His defense was that they updated the initial report but did not include that update to the additional sites for that reason.

    Given the problems (we) the public, have experienced with OneDrive, I am certain that many of us would have taken measures to disable it sooner. That is, those of us who have figured a workaround out. My concern is all the people who are still unaware of where their vanished documents ended up.

    I would 100% say this is false too, I work in IT have been for a very long time, and the problems with one drive is mind boggling. I hope Microsoft gets sued too, cause they are effecting a lot of people.

    I know doctor office who didnt have one drive now have it and some of their confidential data ended up on One drive. I manage their programs i know for a fact I didn't install it. They are breaking compliancy for doctor office its only a matter of time till it comes back and bites them in the butt.

    sorry , this is a lie. I have disabled this feature numerous times and my settings have been changed again.

    frankly this is a bloody nuisance, just leave my settings alone

    I'm not sure that Microsoft can legally make us sign away our right to a class action in extreme circumstances, such as misleading its customers into signing over their personal documents and photos to them to keep forever. I'm sure there would be enough hot shot lawyers out there willing to make a name for themselves in a billion dollar law suit against Microsoft. No one is above the law, not even Microsoft.
