    The second part was the solution for me. ONLY removing the account from the "Access work or school" settings in Windows and reconnected all accounts resolved the issue.

    Changing office or registry settings had NO effect.

    This is the solution that worked for me. FYI, this client is using GoDaddy (boo) as their Microsoft tenant.

    1. Remove the account from outlook on your PC.
    2. Close outlook
    3. In Windows Settings go to à Accounts à Access Work or School. Remove the account there as well
    4. Re-connect the account through the Access Work or School Connect button
    5. Open outlook

    This was the solution that worked for me, so frustrating as it should be the FIRST thing to try as it does not require editing the registry, clearing TPM or anything else destructive.
