Each time I press the READ ALOUD button, it gives me this error message:

"To choose what voice you hear while using Read Aloud, sign in with your Microsoft account."

But I am signed into my MS account.

It appears that my credentials cannot be verified. When this happens, MS Word defaults to the 3 built-in voices.

Any ideas?

Hi guys -

Looks like it's now been fixed (11:30am (UK) time).

Restart your computers.

    Is it possible to roll the Word 365 update back to the previous? This new July 11, 2023 update is exactly when the problem started for me.

    The answer to that is yes.

    It appears there were two security updates installed on the 13th July 2023.

    But I can tell you that I uninstalled both> restarted my machine> went through the whole setup process again>logged out and in again from all 365 programs> logged back in and...............................

    EXACTLY THE SAME PROBLEM as above screenshot. Asks me to log in to be able to select a voice. Bored with the amount of time I have wasted on this now. :(

    I am not sure, I did not try but I fixed it. I went into Credential Manager and removed my office 365 credentials and then logged out of word. It forced me to authenticate with my authenticator and now its working.
