"To choose what voice you hear while using Read Aloud, sign in with your Microsoft account."

Each time I press the READ ALOUD button, it gives me this error message:

"To choose what voice you hear while using Read Aloud, sign in with your Microsoft account."

But I am signed into my MS account.

It appears that my credentials cannot be verified. When this happens, MS Word defaults to the 3 built-in voices.

Any ideas?

Hi guys -

Looks like it's now been fixed (11:30am (UK) time).

Restart your computers.

Exactly the same problem. VERY frustrating. Started 12 July 2023.

I don't get why Microsoft doesn't just make friendly voices part of the basic Office Sweet. It's silly that people need to sign in or have an internet connection to use such basic feature that at this point should be a given.

Would save Microsoft a lot of time fixing these issues every time they update windows, which always seems to break something whenever they do.
