A family of Microsoft word processing software products for creating web, email, and print documents.
Hi guys -
Looks like it's now been fixed (11:30am (UK) time).
Restart your computers.
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
Each time I press the READ ALOUD button, it gives me this error message:
"To choose what voice you hear while using Read Aloud, sign in with your Microsoft account."
But I am signed into my MS account.
It appears that my credentials cannot be verified. When this happens, MS Word defaults to the 3 built-in voices.
Any ideas?

This might have something to do with a Windows Update that broke MS Word.
I have contacted MS several times over the past few days. They are acting oblivious to the issue. We are PAYING customers, I don't get how they can ignore this? I explained to them that I suffer from Dyslexia, but this didn't seem to matter to them.
On 11th I got support involved.
Gave them remote access to my system. He didn't do anything I hadn't already tried (reboot/repair)
He ended up telling me that robotic Susan, Hazel etc were the only options????
I don't think he knew what he was doing
Previously, when I've had this issue, support have fixed it with 'repair' function
but this isn't working this time??
Not going to lie guys, I'm really frustrated!
I need read aloud for work & use it daily!
Why aren't the easy to understand voices not available offline? and standard? Surely NO ONE ever wants the robotic voices?
Considering the amount we pay for this I think it's deserved!
Thanks. I just submitted feedback now. It's great to hear this is already on their radar. Let's hope they get loads of feedback to bump up the priority :)
