"To choose what voice you hear while using Read Aloud, sign in with your Microsoft account."

Each time I press the READ ALOUD button, it gives me this error message:

"To choose what voice you hear while using Read Aloud, sign in with your Microsoft account."

But I am signed into my MS account.

It appears that my credentials cannot be verified. When this happens, MS Word defaults to the 3 built-in voices.

Any ideas?

Hi guys -

Looks like it's now been fixed (11:30am (UK) time).

Restart your computers.

AGREED. Hooray! It's now working again. I didn't even have to restart my machine. Just restarted Word!

I'm affected too. I need the TTS with natural voices to proof read my content before sending it off to the editor. It is my most used feature in MS Word and 90% of why I subscribe to Microsoft 365

Mine stopped working on Saturday, and it still is not working today, Monday! Total pain as I use this feature in English and Spanish to proofread my work.
