A family of Microsoft word processing software products for creating web, email, and print documents.
Hi guys -
Looks like it's now been fixed (11:30am (UK) time).
Restart your computers.
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
Each time I press the READ ALOUD button, it gives me this error message:
"To choose what voice you hear while using Read Aloud, sign in with your Microsoft account."
But I am signed into my MS account.
It appears that my credentials cannot be verified. When this happens, MS Word defaults to the 3 built-in voices.
Any ideas?

Yup, my computer completed the following update that seems to have broken it: 2023-09 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5030219)
Same here! I've never had an issue before today.
Mine doesn't seem to be working yet, but if you want to change the voices, you can change the language. I changed mine to English UK and the female and male voices sound different than the american english. Sometimes it goofs like if your style is English US and you accidently click on the style it'll swap it out but that's the only way I've been able to change the voice before.
I am confirming that after rebooting, the problem is fixed, 7/172023!
I was wondering however, we now have nice male and female natural voices in Read Aloud but is there any way to change these to another voice? Is this hard coded into word or can we change it Narrator or other location?
