Editor's similarity checker not working

3/25 It's back!

I'm not sure if it works on every document, but it worked on one of mine!

(Edit on 4/26) It works on some documents but not on others... Does anyone else have the same problem?

2/23

Someone in the comment section said "The latest word, as of today, is "The latest update in the bug is that there are still some approvals that the team is waiting on. The Word team is treating this as a high-priority incident and is working to have this restored as soon as possible.". So anyone wondering for any updates, there it is...

Thank you!

(I will try my best to look for any updates given in this comment section)

I reached out to them last week and I still haven't heard anything from Microsoft. Hope we hear something soon. That tool is extremely helpful

You would think that it would be fixed by now.. I hate that I have to go to other sites to use the similarity checker when I'm doing my assignment because some of those sites are not always accurate with their scores.

What are the other sites? I'd like to use them. Why do you use similarity checkers when writing papers?

The reason we use that function is to help with plagiarism. What it does is check online resources to make sure that you are not using someone else's work. It's a super useful tool.
