A family of Microsoft spreadsheet software with tools for analyzing, charting, and communicating data
Same question from me - how I do I revert back Alt-E-K to be edit links...?

You used to be able to see if the workbook had any external links from the paper clip icon- if it were blue, you knew there were links. Now the "Workbook Links" icon always shows a blue paperclip, even when there are no links, forcing you to open the pane to see if there are really any links. Changing data source in "Edit Links" was so much easier with the old functionality. The new pane is much more difficult to navigate. Please change it back!

In Excel go to File -> Options -> Customize Ribbon ->
under "Customize the Ribbon" right side of pane, expand the Data group. Add new Group to Data. (it may add to Home tab, in which case, drag it down to Data section if that's where you want it to appear). From left side "Choose commands from:", change to "All Commands". Add "Edit Links" to group created on the right side "Customize the Ribbon".
GREAT this was really helpfull.
If you wanna make Microsoft maybe add this as default for all, you may need to vote in the feedback forum to any concerning this topic under Excel as they mostly don't look here in this forum, sadly. https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback/idea/5a8ddfa5-ed94-ee11-a81c-0022484f9f6d
change it back, please! this is such a nightmare
Exactly this. It's highly frustrating to have keyboard shortcuts to functions used multiple times daily taken away.
How can I assign the old keyboard shortcut link for edit links (alt-a-k in my version) back to edit links? It's now linked to workbook links.
