When will the Check Box feature in Excel be available

There is a new Excel feature on the insert tab of the ribbon that allows users to put a Check Box on spreadsheets without programming. When will that be included in my updates?

    damn i got lucky then, upgraded to beta on pc a week ago and had instant access to the insert checkmnark in to cell. temperarily using a diffent computer and have only just enrolled into beta on that device. was wondering why it wasnt there anymore.

    To begin with, join the Insider program. You might have it right away or wait a short while. I got it about a week after it was announced in the Insider channel.

    So did you actually get the check box tool on your Insert tab after you joined the Insider?

    Are there any DISadvantages to the insider?

    You're welcome. No, I've yet to receive the check box. The "downside" to Insider enrollment is its scattershot release of new features to its members. Features aren't released simultaneously to all Insiders; they're distributed only gradually, and there's no predicting when a member will receive them. I haven't been issued the GROUPBY and PIVOTBY, functions either.

    That is a rudimentary mess of a feature which is boxes dragged on top of a spreadsheet and then formatted to the cells. It is not a way to manage a database of thousands of entries, the BETA version finally fixes it after Google Sheets introduced it a generation ago, yet it is still not rolled out.
