OneNote Web Clipper will not sign in

OneNote Web Clipper extension on Microsoft Edge stopped working after I cleared browser caches with CC Cleaner.

It worked for a long time, but now it completely stopped working. It asks me to sign in, so I get this:

After I click on Sign in with a Microsoft Account, a window appears but there is no sign in flow, it does nothing but shows me a page "Get OneNote Web Clipper".

I'm unable to sign in, it appears that the login flow is broken. I'm already signed in to my personal Microsoft account throughout my apps and in my browser. I can access the OneNote application and https://onenote.com/ site without issues.

Please help if there is another workaround to mitigate this issue. If there's no fix I can't use the Web Clipper extension anymore.

I just did a chat session with a CS person. Here's the skinny:

    • MS engineers are aware of the problem and are working on a resolution.
    • There is no ETA.

I strongly suggested that in future MS figure out a way to report such on critical problems such as this so we don't get so impatient.

Happens in Win 10 latest update and occurs in both Edge and Chrome. This needs a fix ASAP. It has been widely reported here and elsewhere.

For what it's worth, my extension stopped working after the latest Windows update:

From what I understand this is a very recent issue and is on the server side. Microsoft will have to fix the URL for signing in, and no one will be able to sign in until they do.

Glad I found this thread. I'm having the identical issue as OP using Brave browser.
