OneNote Web Clipper will not sign in

OneNote Web Clipper extension on Microsoft Edge stopped working after I cleared browser caches with CC Cleaner.

It worked for a long time, but now it completely stopped working. It asks me to sign in, so I get this:

After I click on Sign in with a Microsoft Account, a window appears but there is no sign in flow, it does nothing but shows me a page "Get OneNote Web Clipper".

I'm unable to sign in, it appears that the login flow is broken. I'm already signed in to my personal Microsoft account throughout my apps and in my browser. I can access the OneNote application and https://onenote.com/ site without issues.

Please help if there is another workaround to mitigate this issue. If there's no fix I can't use the Web Clipper extension anymore.

    Hello all,

I found a workaround: Quit webclipper and use the integrated funtionality of Web Capture of Edge. You can capture everything how you want it and just paste it in onenote. Onenote finds everytext even in photos. Additionally if you use the web capture the content you capture is allso editable in onenote. Try it, it works like a charm. As a solution is a little cumbersome but works good enough for me to ditch evernote!

Let me know what you think!

    Regards

    Panos

Hello good people of this thread,

It looks like the Web Clipper has FINALLY been fixed! On my side I've been able to log in and the Web Clipper works again like it used to. Try checking it for yourselves and see if you are still having issues.

I am astounded by how many people had the same issue and it is truly humbling to know that I am not alone. Your help and advice have been invaluable and I am so grateful for your support.

Thank you all so very much for your support and time to contribute in this thread.

    Best to you all,

    Elmo B.

Thanks for your reply! I'd love to do this but I'd prefer not to uninstall the only browser on my computer! 😅

It also seems like a lot of unnecessary steps to get Chrome, then uninstall Edge, redownload Edge, get everything back in, then uninstall Chrome. There's gotta be a better way to fix this?
