OneNote Web Clipper will not sign in

OneNote Web Clipper extension on Microsoft Edge stopped working after I cleared browser caches with CC Cleaner.

It worked for a long time, but now it completely stopped working. It asks me to sign in, so I get this:

After I click on Sign in with a Microsoft Account, a window appears but there is no sign in flow, it does nothing but shows me a page "Get OneNote Web Clipper".

I'm unable to sign in, it appears that the login flow is broken. I'm already signed in to my personal Microsoft account throughout my apps and in my browser. I can access the OneNote application and https://onenote.com/ site without issues.

Please help if there is another workaround to mitigate this issue. If there's no fix I can't use the Web Clipper extension anymore.

My web clipper on Firefox still works (although the "Region" clipper stopped working several months ago), but MS says that the Firefox extension is no longer supported. I just hope MS gets off their derriere and fixes the Edge extension before the Firefox version stops working altogether.

Hi all. possible solution. I use a hotmail account with one note and use it for mobile, desktop and browser. I logged in with my browser when I could not get the one note clipper to show a new section I had created. I disabled the extension in chrome, reenabled it, closed a one note error pop up dialog box that was not visible until I hovered over chrome on the taskbar, logged into my hotmail in the chrome browser and then tried the clipping and it clipped the web page article I was viewing successfully!! The new Microsoft Edge is not too bad and you should try that as well. I was an Edge and IE hater but they've made an effort and its not too bad.

Hi, I followed you advice (Win 10). However, couldn't find your feedback in the list of the suggested similar feedbacks (lol). At least, one more feedback. ^^

Adding to my earlier entry. I can use Onenote from Outlook to capture email. Also, I can use Snagit to save screen captures as a workaround until Microsoft gets off its rear ends and addresses the issue.

The pop-up is supposed to load the log-in screen, not the "Get OneNote Web Clipper for Chrome" screen. Why did the developers link the "sign-in" button to the wrong pop-up?

Also, why would it ask me to install the OneNote Web Clipper extension when it is already installed.
