My computer is continusly asking me to sign into my microsoft 365 account through outlook or in settings. I put my password in, then 30 minutes later it asks for it again. Today I got the error message 29 stating it could not update my license. I checked to make sure it was active and my billing was updated and all was good. Please advise.

Same issue for me. Doesn't seem to affect any Office function, but it is really annoying. Every time I open an Office app I get this. Licence and subscription are definitely up to date so no issue there. Guessing this is due to a recent update given others are experiencing same problem.

Update to my post from Nov 11, 2023. Near the end of November the notices to update my account information, when there was no need and I could not, magically stopped. Nobody contacted me and I imagine I was/am but one in thousands with the same/similar issue(s) and MS just sent a fix to my computer. The fix was not listed in any obvious or usual place on my PC. The mystery MS fix resulted in my License ID changing entirely to one that is now very, very, long for this product: Microsoft® Outlook® for Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2312 Build 16.0.17126.20092) 64-bit.

I still have a oddities, e.g. opening more than one office app in a certain subset of apps/programs at a time e.g. Outlook Mail and Calendar, results in a box being displayed in the upper right corner of the subsequently opened apps that says "Sign in". This is consistent within a subset of apps I use: Outlook Mail, Tasks, ToDos, Contacts and Calendar.

If I only open one app in this subset at a time, I get the icon which displays my initials in a colored circle in that app. That same colored circle is also displayed in the first app, upper-right corner, if I open more than one in the subset. Functionality is nominal across all apps no matter what order I open them in or how many I have open at one time. :) The nominal functionality is true for both the apps in the subset and all others I have tried.

If I click on the "Sign in" message I get an error message that says "This email has already been used".

Other Office apps, i.e. Word, Excel, Access (maybe more) are not affected it seems and instead display a third icon in the upper right corner. That third icon version icon has my full name and the colored circle with my initials.

So, it is weird but working, and although I am uncomfortable not knowing/understanding how MS "fixed" it (a work-around it seems) I am back to being productive. My guess is that there is a mismatch between some older registry info on my box and the MS database which tracks license numbers.

To put a point on it, improper QC of the update coding affecting some Win 10 machines, methinks. I am still unable to install some updates, e.g. KB5033372. I get error 0x80040831.

I am hoping that the "NEW Outlook" , which is purported to have tighter integration between Mail, Calendar and Contacts is not forced upon me. I tried it and strongly prefer the functions and layout of the current version. Else, many may face another debacle like the old OneNote vs the WebApp OneNote replete with naming mania. ASK YOUR CUSTOMERS FIRST. Thank you MS for preserving the old OneNote.

MS, please send cash or cash credits to those who spend time supporting your products on a technical level. The time we all take to offer this level of feedback is not trivial. Thank you.

Will you please help me. This message pops up everytime I login. I just purchased a new license a few weeks ago. I uninstall and reinstall Office 365, but this error will not stop popping up. Please help!
