My computer is continusly asking me to sign into my microsoft 365 account through outlook or in settings. I put my password in, then 30 minutes later it asks for it again. Today I got the error message 29 stating it could not update my license. I checked to make sure it was active and my billing was updated and all was good. Please advise.

    Dear Chris,

If it is convenient, could you upload some screenshots showing the error message in your environment for our reference?

Meanwhile, please open an Office application and upload a full screenshot of the Account page for our confirmation. You can access teh page via clicking on File>Account.

Note: Remove any private information before uploading the screenshots.

per your description, the issue happens in Outlook, may I know whether other Office applications have such issues?

Thank you for your effort and time.

    Sincerely

I have had the same problem and spent 4 hours trying to solve it online and been disconnected without a callback twice. Have you had any luck solving this? Thanks

I am having a similar problem. When I launch an Office 365 application such as Word, OneNote, etc then I get a dialog box asking me to sign in to my Microsoft 365 account. When I then provide the sign in credentials it tells me: "Couldn't update license. You can continue using Microsoft 365 and try again. If issues persist, please contact Microsoft support. Error Code: 29" After closing that dialog box I can continue to use the Office app, and it does show me as signed into my account.

I've tried logging out and then back in without any change. My current subscription for Office 365 Family does not expire for another ten months.

    I've included screenshots below.

How can I (we) resolve this issue?

    Thank you.

I have the same issue now. Wondering if it is due to some update that was made. Have you received a reply or found a solution?

    Thanks.
