I am getting an error code 29 "Unable to update license" When attempting to sign into microsoft 365

My computer is continusly asking me to sign into my microsoft 365 account through outlook or in settings. I put my password in, then 30 minutes later it asks for it again. Today I got the error message 29 stating it could not update my license. I checked to make sure it was active and my billing was updated and all was good. Please advise.

    I was experiencing the same issue; however, the problem is now resolved for me. Since I have limited tech understanding, I cannot answer your specific questions. Below are the steps I performed.

    1. Downloaded - https://download.microsoft.com/download/e/1/b/e1bbdc16-fad4-4aa2-a309-2ba3cae8d424/OLicenseCleanup.zip & https://download.microsoft.com/download/f/8/7/f8745d3b-49ad-4eac-b49a-2fa60b929e7d/signoutofwamaccounts.zip 
    2. Extracted both files to the same directory and double-clicked - OLicenseCleanup file.
    3. Opened the command prompt as administrator and executed
    • cd "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office16"
    • cscript ospp.vbs /dstatus

    1. Now execute - cscript ospp.vbs /unpkey:<last 5 characters of product key> (for example: cscript ospp.vbs /unpkey:2WC00). Do this for all the product keys you find as the outcome of step #3.
    2. Delete the below registries if present
    • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Common\Licensing
    • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Common\Identity

    That's it !!! Now go to your Office app and log in one last time :)

    No more errors :)
