I am getting an error code 29 "Unable to update license" When attempting to sign into microsoft 365

My computer is continusly asking me to sign into my microsoft 365 account through outlook or in settings. I put my password in, then 30 minutes later it asks for it again. Today I got the error message 29 stating it could not update my license. I checked to make sure it was active and my billing was updated and all was good. Please advise.

Getting this same issue too. Started about a week ago. My subscription renewed at the beginning of the month. My account is all OK and I do appear to be logged in correctly but the Error Code 29 message is getting really frustrating.

This is not work since my account is a shared family account. No such keys when bought the subscription.

I have same issues that couldn't update but after that it shows me signed correctly and keep asking to sign in every time I open office app.

I did unintall any office app includes visio and project, then reinstall the office365 yet still not resolved.

Problem with your solution is that it doesn't include SaaS licence.. you do not have a "Key" to input there... so this will not work.

Guys, something to consider, might have much impact but take a look at the number of device you have activated your office suite if it is of Business/Enterprise Class (such as Microsoft 365 Business Standard)... Microsoft warrants the installation on maximum 5 device and will refuse to activate other suites if you have exeeded the number of activation.

You must goto your portal.office.com and disconnect additionnal office connected to your account. This can help solving the issue...
