ClipChamp available for A5 Educational licence

I asked my account rep this week and he advised there’s still no news on if/when it will be added to Edu licenses. I’m in Australia, we get additions later than the US.

Today I can share another update, we have an EDU launch announcement for Clipchamp coming to A3 & A5 SKUs (students and staff)

Does that mean it will be available to all students as a Student Use Benefit, providing staff have an A3 or A5 licence?

Yes, if a student is assigned Microsoft 365 A3 for students use benefit or Microsoft 365 A5 for students use benefit, they will have access to Clipchamp.

動画編集の数あるアプリケーションの一つではありますが、動画編集の標準アプリケーションが教育用として利用できることを歓迎いたします。

教育現場として留意されているのは、動画編集アプリの機能面の充実よりは、時間的制約として使用について簡易的であるか、著作権上の問題が発生しないか、ということがあります。いまのところ、学習者用の小型のSurfaceでもレンダリングまでできるようです。

日本の伝統的風土が残る教育現場の、古き良きそして悪しき慣習を打ち破るための、雰囲気の生成手段としては、素材など含め、大きすぎも小さすぎもせず、ちょうどよいように思います。一番使用のある「テキスト」が、なぜかこれだけ「純な日本語にならない」話はまた今度にしましょう。

（追記）企業向け組織アカウントで確認したところ、純粋な日本語のフォントが追加されていました。教育向けのものも同様であるように思いますが未確認です。いまのところ無料版にこれはありません。
