ClipChamp available for A5 Educational licence

Is there a plan/release date for nonprofits?

Hello everyone - thanks so much for commenting here and on other sites such as the Clipchamp feedback portal. It certainly helps us respond and prioritise our work.

Today I can share another update, we have an EDU launch announcement for Clipchamp coming to A3 & A5 SKUs (students and staff) - https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/education-blog/what-s-new-in-microsoft-edu-may-2024/ba-p/4132818 

We're preparing further information that we'll make available on the Microsoft 365 roadmap and in the message center for your M365 admins soon. 

As per the link it says we can access with our A3 Student and Faculty License. Our licensing partner is telling us that the service plan will be available to be added in July. Can you please confirm that ClipChamp is added to our current licensing as a service plan or is it a separate sku please. We are in Australia. Thank you very much.,

The link in your comment suggests that this will be available to Education customers from the 23rd June, I duly set a reminder to check back today (24th) and it is currently unavailable to us as yet - Clipchamp doesn't show up under the service plan details for our A5 licences.

The following article now mentions July 2024, but no specific date:

Please could you update us on when we're going to be able to access Clipchamp? It feels like one rug-pull after another for education customers and the fact this access to basic video editing in schools was overlooked in the first place is absurd.
