One Drive Not Working with Mac OS 14 Sonoma

My OneDrive is not syncing with Mac OS Sonoma.

I am getting the "you must restart OneDrive to continue syncing this location" message.

File access and copying are not working. The Finder hangs on "preparing to copy…" The copy never happens and I have lost access on the Mac to all of my OneDrive files. I can see them. They are one the OneDrive server. But, on the Mac I cannot open the file, download or copy to another location.

As all of my work is in the OneDrive Folder, I am frozen out of all of my files.

    I have had the same issue with the message that Onedrive needs to be restartet to sync the folder. Have tried all the suggestions, but no luck. I finally tried to download a clean Onedrive app from Appstore instead of using a version from Microsoft / Onedrive. The version currently in Appstore is 23.211.1024.0002 while the last version that I could download from Microsoft was newer with version 23.226.1031.

    The version downloaded from Appstore behaves a bit different when it comes to specifying location for the Onedrive-folder and also explicit asks for permission to start the sync. And the really good thing is that it works!

    Before downloading and trying this, I deleted all previous local files including hidden files in the .ODContainer-OneDrive - folder. I also created a new folder to store my Onedrive-folder within. Also I ran the ResetOneDriveApp.command inside the Onedrive app. If it was the trick with new folder or the Appstore-version that did the magic, I cannot know, but finally it works again.

    OneDrive does not working with external SSD drive (USB) on Mac OS X Sonoma 14.1.1. In the previous version everything worked well.

    I tryed ResetOneDriveAppStandalone.command and uninstall/install OneDrive - this does not work.
