One Drive Not Working with Mac OS 14 Sonoma

My OneDrive is not syncing with Mac OS Sonoma.

I am getting the "you must restart OneDrive to continue syncing this location" message.

File access and copying are not working. The Finder hangs on "preparing to copy…" The copy never happens and I have lost access on the Mac to all of my OneDrive files. I can see them. They are one the OneDrive server. But, on the Mac I cannot open the file, download or copy to another location.

As all of my work is in the OneDrive Folder, I am frozen out of all of my files.

    Definitely not practical :) I had a total of 90 folders and files. Impossible to say which one killed OneDrive.

    That was my exact experience! I even did a clean Reset of my Windows computer to see if that would help. I thought it had, which led me to the clean install of macOS. The first sync seemed to have worked but the next day, Windows OneDrive was stuck again. Killed a week of productivity. Only bright side is all my computers have fresh OS installs...

    I wiped my Mac and installed OS and Apps from scratch. OneDrive working ok now. We should not have to resort to such drastic measures for standard software.

    I had the same problem, but thanks to your post, everything is working smoothly in my mac after upgrading to Sonoma!!
