A Microsoft file hosting and synchronization service.
I have the same issue, but not only for MAC. Have a look at here.
For Mac no of this solutions here works.
If anyone has any idea..

My OneDrive is not syncing with Mac OS Sonoma.
I am getting the "you must restart OneDrive to continue syncing this location" message.
File access and copying are not working. The Finder hangs on "preparing to copy…" The copy never happens and I have lost access on the Mac to all of my OneDrive files. I can see them. They are one the OneDrive server. But, on the Mac I cannot open the file, download or copy to another location.
As all of my work is in the OneDrive Folder, I am frozen out of all of my files.

Mac Sonoma user
everything stuck, I got more than 3T data and have to work with them everyday
cannot sync with the devices
use all the solutions mentioned above
neither of them is working!!!
WHAT kind of CORP!!!!!???????????
I've spent the past week trying to solve this on my Mac. I spent a few days on my own doing everything I could think of, and a few days with tech support over email, redoing all the things I already thought of. I even took the time to do a clean install of Sonoma to see if that resolved it. It did not. The app simply crashed every time it ran and tried to sync. Even with older versions of OneDrive, which I could run by deleting the updater script in LaunchAgent before it ran. The solution... I deleted everything in my OneDrive from the web portal and the app stopped crashing. Now I'm adding files back a few at a time. Fingers crossed!
Thanks for your suggestion. But I have Ts of data, this is not quite practically worked.
Hi XmasLance,
I am shortly before the same approach. As you can see at my post here https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/sync-stops-on-mac-and-windows-11/f4938586-0c61-4033-b945-a8c7905109a5 I have the same issue on Mac and Windows. Also on an other Windows laptop, which never was connected to onedrive before and runs on WIN 10.
Thas leads me to the opinion that there must be something on the data.
But I had succsess with my QNAP-NAS: on this it was possible to download all the data (not 100% sure, but it looks like). The next step is like yours: deleting everything and upload again. I also split the data and started with Google Drive.
Keep my fingers crossed for you!
