One Drive Not Working with Mac OS 14 Sonoma

My OneDrive is not syncing with Mac OS Sonoma.

I am getting the "you must restart OneDrive to continue syncing this location" message.

File access and copying are not working. The Finder hangs on "preparing to copy…" The copy never happens and I have lost access on the Mac to all of my OneDrive files. I can see them. They are one the OneDrive server. But, on the Mac I cannot open the file, download or copy to another location.

As all of my work is in the OneDrive Folder, I am frozen out of all of my files.

    Hi, I’ve run my MAC back to OSX Ventura. I’ve had a few problems with Sonoma on my MacBook Pro, particularly with auto start apps running in background including One Drive. Since my Mac has been run back to Ventura, there’s been no problems with One Drive.

    I finally got it to work.

    First I used the solution from the first answer, OneDrive didn't wanted to run at all (other OneDrive is already connected).

    Then I simply did what I did at the first place again, and now it works.

    Here is what finally worked for me:

    1. Remove the current App and Data from my Mac.
    2. Download the App from the Mac App Store - A new one was released just a week ago. (23.199.0924)
    3. Reinstall and Sync again all data
    4. Restart my Mac

    Note: I've tried the solution in the Thread above (going through the built-in Reset Command, but it did not work). I tried the version of OneDrive from the MS website which seemed even newer (23.211.1010) and it didn't sync (always asking me to restart the OneDrive App).
