One Note keeps switching from drawing (Apple Pencil) to Text Mode. I am using the App on an iPad.

    I looked at What's New and saw Scribble; It was enabled in iPad Pencil Settings. I disabled it and AutoFormat Pen deactivated. Problem solved for me! (Solution might help with others?)

    Hi,

    I'm not sure if this solution can help you, but you can try it.

    I export my whole notebook to my computer and deleted the online notebook (please make sure you export the notebook correctly or you lose your data.).

    Then I import the notebook again. ( I import the notebook to a different account. But you can try to import it into the original account.)

    So far, the bug seldom appears, even if it appears, I can solve it by just shutting down the Onenote app and reopening the app.

    I wish this solution can solve your problem.

    Still having issues with apple pen intermittently switching itself back to type mode. Then to get to return to draw mode I have to click my One note page, which causes keyboard to appear, or it will not allow me to re-select the pen I was just using. I have scribble off and just to rule out switched out my apple pen2 tip. Any other suggestions b/c it becomes quite annoying went I can even write one line w/o it switching multiple times! Thanks.

    Same issue here. It is making onenote completely unusable. I hand write all my notes.

    I've turned off Scribble. I have deleted and reinstalled one note. Updated IOS to latest version 16.5. Ipad pro 10.9, latest model. gen 2 apple pencil

    I read about turn off autoformating for apple pencil? where do I find this?

    Please stop with the automatic reply and give some concrete steps on how to fix this. It's a major issue.
