PowerPoint Slide goes black while in presenter view when casting from android phone or tablet to projector

While using a Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G or my Samsung A8 Plus tablet and using presentation view, the screen will go black while casting to my projector XGIMI Elfin Mini. This only happens in presentation view. If I don't use presentation view then I can cast the PowerPoint but I cannot see my notes. I connected my projector directly to my laptop via hdmi and I had no problem in presenter view to see my notes and the full presentation from the projector.

There is something wrong with presenter view when casting only.

Dear All,

I have the exact same issue. I am using Powerpoint (Office 365) on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 lite. When I use the "Presenter View", the screen goes black at times. Otherwise it's fine. It's really annoying... Is there a solution to this issue?

Subject: Presenter view issue on Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra

Dear Microsoft Support,

I am writing to you today to report an issue I am having with presenter view on my Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. I am trying to use the full advantage of my phone with Microsoft 365, but I am unable to use presenter view in PowerPoint. No matter what I try, the slides do not show up.

I have tried the following steps to troubleshoot the issue:
- I have made sure that my phone is up to date with the latest software.
- I have uninstalled and reinstalled PowerPoint.
- I have cleared the cache and data for PowerPoint.
- I have tried using a different PowerPoint presentation.
None of these steps have worked. I am still unable to use presenter view.

So here is the update after phone call from MS team.

It seems like they are not cooperating with Samsung to fix the issue and Samsung just blame MS as a developer of the app.

Samsung claims full compatibility with MS office 365 and you even have it pre-installed on the S series.

Then when you report problem they just don't care.

Microsoft support was little bit more supportive - unfortunately they also not care as long as you all pay for the service it ok they start bother if we all cancel subscription even then it would be very small percentage of users who have this issue and even less it really needs they not going to do anything about it.

SO there we go - al of us who choose flagship from Samsung to use it as portable work tool and MS office 365 with it is screwed as the fix for this is just not a priority.

You can tell as the replies from MS here are just not giving any useful information and support on the phone just wont let you in contact with whoever to debug online.

It would be nice to know some more details about the problem solving progress here. How was the debugging going?

Can we see what actions was already done and when, together with some outcomes?

Is there ongoing cooperation with Samsung UI developers and MS developers ?

What is the timeline and milestones here?

Please give some useful insight.

May they need to debug together with customers facing this issue?

Were they at least able to reproduce the same failure mode?
