While using a Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G or my Samsung A8 Plus tablet and using presentation view, the screen will go black while casting to my projector XGIMI Elfin Mini. This only happens in presentation view. If I don't use presentation view then I can cast the PowerPoint but I cannot see my notes. I connected my projector directly to my laptop via hdmi and I had no problem in presenter view to see my notes and the full presentation from the projector.
There is something wrong with presenter view when casting only.

I don't think they are very keen on fixing the issue. At least they could come out and say it instead of pretending to care. I think that is worse.
Same problem here with a Samsung Galaxy S22+
I think it is a shame that a serious problem using PowerPoint is still here after months the user have reported it!

Strange behaviour instead with my Tablet Samsung S6
If I click on the presenting button the problem is there as well. If, instead, I enter the menu "presentation" and at that point I click on "presenting from the beginning" button, in this case the screen doesn't turn balck anymore.
Thanks for your imput unfortunately this is not the case the problem appears on android only.
Not sure if this is exactly the same issue that you are/were having but in my case presenting in full screen would break my display mirroring settings. Here's how I fixed it.
You should see a window like this.
You should be able to select the display that you want the presentation to be on and not blank out on you.
Hope that this helps you or someone else out.
That is obvious i actually did go through trouble shooting with samsung team they did actually tried to help. Microsoft doesnt care about paying customers.
