Insert online pictures is not working. Does anyone have any ideas to fix my issues? (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

I have tried all online fixes but nothing is working; inetcpl.cpl, uninstalling & reinstalling, advanced options internet explorer & updating microsoft office. It just started giving me this error a couple of days ago.

    I'm using Microsoft Office 2016. But I also tried buying Microsoft 365 yesterday (just in case my version was outdated.)

    That did not fix the problem. It used to work fine, until about a month ago. I don't know what changed. But I've seen that many people have this issue (when you google "Online pictures get error message."

    I think it may have something to do with my laptop--I'm going to call the Geek Squad and see if they can diagnose and fix.

    Here, using a personal subscription, I am able to insert both local and online images in the local version of Word (and also in Word on the web).

    Which specific product are you running?

    I did let microsoft know and did report this issue and got no response. Here is an update, I can insert online pictures on a desktop pc but NOT a laptop, any laptop I try it is like a setting you are not thinking of got turned on. I have done all the fixes in your post and everything else posted. Thanks

    I did that, now I found out it only works on PC Desktops, NOT Laptops

    Is that the issue? Can you look into that?
