One Drive Stopped Working since April 7th, 2023 and running with MaC OS catalina 10.15.7

I have a MacBook Pro mid 2012( The best machines as compared with the current ones) running with OS Catalina 10.15.7, but a couple a days ago my OneDrive stopped working or syncing, I've done everything, installing previous version and also following the recommended ones in some post with no success in the installation.

Installing previous versions of one drive the results are the same, further uninstalling Office 365 and nothing. So was necessary to install a previous version of office 2016 to get again office package, the new version does not run with Catalina 10.15.7, so, my unique alternative is to work with the app in website with a link in desktop.

I would recommend to MS to avoid or prevent with visible notice that the one drive with the last update does not run on Catalina 10.15.7 and give the option to users to keep the previous version.

Until now, I have no fixed the problem with One drive. Suggestions are welcome.

    This 'solution' (well, hack actually) worked for me:

    Steps are basically: download a previous version of OneDrive. Annoyingly, the download links in the article with the solution now all point to the new, 'broken' version, so you can't download it from there. Fortunately, there's a guy who has posted every single onedrive version yet:

    There, look for version 23.054.0313.0001 and download it.

    While you download, make sure you already open activity manager and force quit the Standalone Updater that keeps on aggressively rearing its ugly head like a digital groundhog. It needs force quitting twice otherwise it will not take the hint.

    After download, if you cannot find the package file, look in your rubbish bin – the Standalone Updater may have already moved the installer to the bin. It really is Clippy's evil older sibling.

    Switch off wifi to avoid any updates.

    Then install the package. It will not do so by clicking on it, because it's an unsigned update, so you will have to right-click and insist it installs.

    While installing, keep an eye out on the activity monitor to stomp down any attempts by the Standalone Updater or the OneDrive Auto-updater to disrupt the process.

    After installing, go through the terminal steps in the article first, and THEN switch on wifi and fire up onedrive. Make sure it's the right version, though, by calling up the info on the app by clicking on it once and then hitting CMD-I. If it says 23.054.0313.0001 then it should work.

    I am now enjoying my working older version, which is happily processing the many updates of the last days. I hope you will too!

    Same problem, I noticed it on April 9th.

    I have tried removing and installing the app, the problem is that does not execute or allow to configure it again

    Same issue with on 10.15.7. Have also been getting Office Update prompts, but all require a MacOS Upgrade which my late 2013 iMac won't support!!! Argh! No doubt related to iMac age. Do I really need to upgrade my 3.1 Ghz Quad-Core i7 with 16GB of memory?! Moral or the story - don't max out the tech spec when you buy so that performance again syncs with s/w support ageing.

    Same issues, 10.15.7 unable to delete and re-add. The icon doesn't respond when clicked. Before I removed it, it told me I didn't have permission to access the files. None of my saved files wete syncing and I was showing two folders. in 2 separate places.
