One Drive Stopped Working since April 7th, 2023 and running with MaC OS catalina 10.15.7

Thanks! I'd been doing the same workaround when OneDrive stopped working with old Mac OSs, but had to reinstall weekly due to the pesky standardaloneupdater rearing it's ugly head.

I've now made the file edit in terminal to

kill the autouodates, as per https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/my-fix-for-onedrive-on-macos-catalina-1015x/de6ab37d-fa23-42b5-b5df-fbf05e09887b and problem seems to be solved for the moment. Turning off auto updates in OneNote preferences has also been suggested, and I'll do that too.

What a ridiculous situation.

I have a MacBook Pro mid 2012( The best machines as compared with the current ones) running with OS Catalina 10.15.7, but a couple a days ago my OneDrive stopped working or syncing, I've done everything, installing previous version and also following the recommended ones in some post with no success in the installation.

Installing previous versions of one drive the results are the same, further uninstalling Office 365 and nothing. So was necessary to install a previous version of office 2016 to get again office package, the new version does not run with Catalina 10.15.7, so, my unique alternative is to work with the app in website with a link in desktop.

I would recommend to MS to avoid or prevent with visible notice that the one drive with the last update does not run on Catalina 10.15.7 and give the option to users to keep the previous version.

Until now, I have no fixed the problem with One drive. Suggestions are welcome.

Hi, I've updated the fix (hack). This works so far for me (see link below), as of 19 Apr 2023.

Ok, espero que esto les funcione, a mi me funciono perfectamente, pero, solo para los que usan TIMEMACHINE.

Me devolvi en el tiempo, al 8 de Abril, un dia antes de que todo esto se... me fui a la carpeta de aplicaciones, seleccione OneDrive, y lo restaure y SANTA SOLUCION.

Ok this work for the ones who uses TIMEMACHINE, [you know de back up service], what I do is enter in The TimeMachine then select the Applications Carpet, select the OneDrive App and restore it to date 08 April [Version 23.054.0313.001 on MacOS Catalina 10.15.7], and it works perfectly, also a lookup for the app Microsoft AutoUpdate [CMD+spacebar], and deactivate "Automatically keep Microsoft apps up to date".

All the others solutions post here don't work for me.

I'm happy to see I'm not the only one but also sad that it's not working. This is a serious issue that I hope will be fixed sooner than later.

I have now gone one step further and deleted the Standalone-updater launcher files, in

/Library/LaunchAgents

/Library/LaunchDaemons/

/user/Library/Application Support

I hope that works a bit longer....
