One Drive Stopped Working since April 7th, 2023 and running with MaC OS catalina 10.15.7

I have a MacBook Pro mid 2012( The best machines as compared with the current ones) running with OS Catalina 10.15.7, but a couple a days ago my OneDrive stopped working or syncing, I've done everything, installing previous version and also following the recommended ones in some post with no success in the installation.

Installing previous versions of one drive the results are the same, further uninstalling Office 365 and nothing. So was necessary to install a previous version of office 2016 to get again office package, the new version does not run with Catalina 10.15.7, so, my unique alternative is to work with the app in website with a link in desktop.

I would recommend to MS to avoid or prevent with visible notice that the one drive with the last update does not run on Catalina 10.15.7 and give the option to users to keep the previous version.

Until now, I have no fixed the problem with One drive. Suggestions are welcome.

    This is not a solution for all, but if you are a more advanced user and familiar with terminal, I have forgone the OneDrive app completely and am now using rclone.

    I was having the same issues as above - all files were supposed to be on the cloud but after erasing my mac completely two times over, i'd had it with onedrive. It still said my "online" files were taking up 82GB.

    Do NOT do this if you aren't familiar with terminal/rsync/rclone or are not an advanced mac user, and read the documentation carefully before running a command so you don't lose any files.

    i don't have the energy to get into it all but what i did:

    1. install homebrew if you don't have it already

    2. install rclone

    3.set up onedrive as a remote

    4. execute a rclone sync command

    i used the below command, but as I said above - look at the documentation first to make sure it's right for your needs and doesn't delete anything you don't want deleted!

    rclone sync /home/user/documents/ myonedriveremote:Documents --progress

    works like a charm and is ultimately way more customizable. This is also great if you want to back up your OneDrive to an external disk.

    Just to add to the long list of people - I have the same mac as above, and am also running 10.15.7, and Onedrive also just stopped working. None of the suggested fixes have worked.

    The latest "insider preview" versions of OneDrive for MacOS (starting with 23.081 and later, including 23.086) reportedly work with MacOS Catalina (10.15.x).

    If you implemented fixes that preserved the previously working OneDrive versions (e.g. 23.002 or 23.054) by preventing MS from updating those to non-working versions, you may need to reverse those fixes first before installing the latest insider preview versions that now work with Catalina.
