Dear Support Team
As a result of the recent OneDrive update 23061.0319 (installed on my Mac on the 1st of Apr 2023) OneDrive app won't sync or open on my MacBook Pro (Catalina v10.15.7).
Despite following the steps as (as published in Microsoft Support Centre and also Microsoft Community) OneDrive won't open or function at all.
My feeling is that the new update creates an issue with the Catalina Operating system which unable it to open/function/sync..
Therefore, OneDrive is not working appropriately.
In order to resolve the matter I have followed the below steps and no luck:
Would be highly appreciated if you provide some guidance on the matter.
Many thanks in advance.
Regards
DR

Hi!
I am about to try installing this version, but I am a bit lost.
Will this process remove my current files in my OneDrive folder?
What happens with the files that have not been syncronized yet?
My OneDrive stopped working 17 days ago I just noticed :(
Thank you!
Question: Will this process remove my current files in my OneDrive folder?
Answer: No. OneDrive is not known to delete personal files. Whatever personal files on your computer that have not been deleted online or in another computer that syncs with OneDrive will stay there after updating OneDrive. (That has been my experience. Your experience may vary.)
Question: What happens with the files that have not been synchronized yet?
Answer: If the new OneDrive version works, it starts synchronizing. All files on your computer not previously synchronized get synchronized (uploaded to your online OneDrive location). All files online not previously synchronized with your computer will then show up on your local folder (they may show up with a blue-bordered cloud icon or a round icon with a tick, depending on your settings). If you have another computer that continued to sync with OneDrive, all additions and deletions there will work their way to your Mac.
Thank you so much, this package works for me (Catelina 10.15.7) now and I can finally open the OneDrive app!!!! Just download and install this version, and I am so happy to see the notice message comes out at once!!
Your method is working for me too. Thank you!

hi, i am the other guy who found this method is work too.
In my case, i received a new oneDrive folder on mac which is syncronized with the oneDrive online after installing this version. Meanwhile, my files in old oneDrive folder that stopped working for a while was kept on mac too. After that, i noticed those previously stopped working files only stayed in old folder, so i manually moved them to oneDrive online, and all of them were synchronously transfered to new oneDrive folder too, then i can use the new one without any problem :)
