Dear Support Team

As a result of the recent OneDrive update 23061.0319 (installed on my Mac on the 1st of Apr 2023) OneDrive app won't sync or open on my MacBook Pro (Catalina v10.15.7).

Despite following the steps as (as published in Microsoft Support Centre and also Microsoft Community) OneDrive won't open or function at all.

My feeling is that the new update creates an issue with the Catalina Operating system which unable it to open/function/sync..

Therefore, OneDrive is not working appropriately.

In order to resolve the matter I have followed the below steps and no luck:

Would be highly appreciated if you provide some guidance on the matter.

Many thanks in advance.

Regards

DR

Many thanks for the update. At least this sounds like an unintentional disabling on Catalina, unlike the previous time a while back when they explicitly said it not work on High Sierra and earlier. The release notes they point to in the "useful link" say this:

**Important:**We no longer update or allow new installations of OneDrive on macOS versions older than 10.14. In order to enable OneDrive updates and new installations, we recommend updating to macOS 11.0 or newer.

Which makes it seem as if they intend it to work on 10.15 and above, although the recommendation of 11.0 or newer is unclear.

It does seem as if the Raymond Chen camp at Microsoft is definitively dead. https://www.joelonsoftware.com/2004/06/13/how-microsoft-lost-the-api-war/

I am having this exact same issue. I have reset the app.

Deleted and uninstalled the app. And it is just dead.

This is a major issue. We use this drive across multiple machines and no files are syncing/updating.

    Please help

OneDrive somehow manages to push the update on my computer (Catalina) bypassing the network filter (Little Snitch). If you are not fast enough to kill the updater and updater-daemon processes you will get the latest version right away after the installation. FIY I am getting 23.071 after the update but it also does not work.

Now trying to lock both the updater and standalone updater with the method in this thread.

Hi Sergey, many thanks. Good to know I'm not alone. Unfortunately the pain of having to download docs from the web to my desktop every time I need to send something goes on☹️ This is what I got from "Support" today.

Dear , Thank you for your email.I had shared the action plan earlier hoping it will help. However, it appears that there will be a need to wait for the next OneDrive update to resolve the issue.Thank you for your understanding, and I look forward to your response.Best Regards,
