Dear Support Team
As a result of the recent OneDrive update 23061.0319 (installed on my Mac on the 1st of Apr 2023) OneDrive app won't sync or open on my MacBook Pro (Catalina v10.15.7).
Despite following the steps as (as published in Microsoft Support Centre and also Microsoft Community) OneDrive won't open or function at all.
My feeling is that the new update creates an issue with the Catalina Operating system which unable it to open/function/sync..
Therefore, OneDrive is not working appropriately.
In order to resolve the matter I have followed the below steps and no luck:
Would be highly appreciated if you provide some guidance on the matter.
Many thanks in advance.
Regards
DR

Hello Dirk and all else,
I have tried everything including deleting everything in the Library folders regarding anything Microsoft and re-installing office from my Microsoft_Office_16.65.22091101_Installer and you are correct. It seems Onedrive updates itself and doesn't ever open. No cloud icon across the top window bar - just nothing.
THIS PROBLEM IS CRITICAL! Hopefully someone will solve it. I don't like the idea of trashing a perfectly good MAC because someone decided to change a piece of code.

Hi Tim,
I'm having the exact same issue. I'm running OneDrive on Mac Catalina and when I install an older version it starts the login process, but then somewhere in the middle it updates the version and simply stops working. Is there any way to deactivate the auto update feature? I've turned off this feature on the App Store in the preferences, but it still updates the OneDrive installation in the middle of the login process.
The app is still in the application folder, but the icon is gone from the Menu Bar at the top right. When I double click on OneDrive in the application folder it looks like it registers the command, but never actually launches.
Thanks, Dirk
Installing version 23.054 works UNTIL it automatically updates as part of the install prompt.
You can use the below link for previous OneDrive versions although it is limited:-

Kind regards
