Recently updated to new iOS and Microsoft family app keeps crashing. Have restart phone multiple times and uninstall and reinstalled app several times. Before the iOS update, app was giving errors on the notification page. Had to keep hitting refresh button and it would finally connect to Microsoft.

Hey everyone, good news! An update is now available which resolves this issue, with the new app version implementing the fix being 1.24.3. Please update to the newest version and see if the issue is resolved.

Based on some user experience, if you do not get the update offered you may have to uninstall the app first, then reinstall to get the new version.

I also have the same issue. The app crashes as soon as it opens. Tried to play around by uninstalling the app and reinstalling it. The app crashes after 5 seconds that was opened.

That worked for a second then right back to not working. So frustrating.

I had the same issue and somehow I fixed it. This is what I did:

    1. Uninstall the app
    2. Power off the phone and power it back on
    3. Reinstall the app
    4. Go through the Get Started screen one by one
    5. Sign in the microsoft account.
    6. When asked for location service, I by accident selected the only once. And then app will say you have to grant the location, and will navigate to the iOS Settings, enable the location service there to Always
    7. Once back to the app, everything just works.

Not sure this will work for all of you! Good Luck!

BTW, I am using iPhone 13 pro, iOS 16.4.1

This fixed it for me too!!! iPhone 12 mini, iOS 16.4.1. I also chose to have it not send diagnostic data.
