Recently updated to new iOS and Microsoft family app keeps crashing. Have restart phone multiple times and uninstall and reinstalled app several times. Before the iOS update, app was giving errors on the notification page. Had to keep hitting refresh button and it would finally connect to Microsoft.

Hey everyone, good news! An update is now available which resolves this issue, with the new app version implementing the fix being 1.24.3. Please update to the newest version and see if the issue is resolved.

Based on some user experience, if you do not get the update offered you may have to uninstall the app first, then reinstall to get the new version.

I’m having this problem as well. iPhone app shuts down after a few seconds.

I am also having this same issue! This really does need to be fixed. And I don't understand why anyone would suggest to factory reset your phone for an issue with one app!

EDIT: I would like to add that the situation seems to mostly be affected iOS users, but the app is also not working right on my son’s android tablet. I decided to go test it out on my parental profile & it is crashing there too.

Now does Microsoft care since it’s crashing on their chosen platform of devices too?!

I wish I could get my son to only play on my PS4, but he loves his tablet & laptop. This is not a complaint just because our kids can’t play games due to all of this, it’s because we have zero control, y’all are taking no accountability or care to fix the issues, & my mentioning my child’s Autism is merely because his technology is what helps him daily! When he can’t be understood, he gets frustrated to the point of tears!!! When he can’t get on his learning apps, like Scratch, he melts down. When it’s about video games he may have a tantrum, but as a parent of an Autistic child I know there is a difference between meltdown & tantrums!!!

When he can’t get on for virtual learning days (& there has been a few the past 2 weeks) he gets counted as absent!! Is Microsoft going to pay the truancy fines & do the court time for me?! Again, I know I can do this the slow way & go through my email & such, but try explaining that to a child, any child, but especially an Autistic child who’s patience for bs is a lot less than a typical child (& we all know our kids are impatient, as all kids are. Though through the heat of this questions replies, maybe his patience is more than his mother’s is at this point with Microsoft!!’

DO YOUR JOB!!! LOOK AT THE FILED REPORTS THAT WE ALL KNOW YOU ACTUALLY HAVE & FIX IT!!!
