I have had Office 365, including OneDrive running on this Mac for several years. Yesterday, OneDrive updated itself (I have the Microsoft AutoUpdater set to automatically download and install updates) to version 23.061.0319. Following that update, it will not run.
I click on the icon in the launchpad, nothing happens
I click on the icon within Finder->Applications, nothing happens
I do not get an error message, there is nothing in the system log, it does not show up in application monitor, it seems to be just dead.
Here is what the system says about the OneDrive.app:
OneDrive:
Version: 23.061.0319
Obtained from: Identified Developer
Last Modified: 4/3/23, 3:18 PM
Signed by: Developer ID Application: Microsoft Corporation (UBF8T346G9), Developer ID Certification Authority, Apple Root CA
Location: /Applications/OneDrive.app
Kind: 64-bit
If I run Microsoft AutoUpdate, this is what it shows for Microsoft products:
None of the Office products is up to date (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook). They are all on version 16.66 because the next version, 16.71 requires an OS Update, which will never come, because this macbook (Macbook Air, mid 2012) is too old and Catalina 10.15.7 is the most upgraded it can get.
Only OneDrive is up to date, v23061.0319, installed yesterday on 4/3/2023.
What can I do to get back to a previous version of OneDrive so that it works??? This sucks that it did not recognize that the most current version is not compatible with my laptop.

Do you have a link for standalone One Drive? Using the installer provided in the link, is there an option to install only the OneDrive?
Or may I know what version of One Drive you have after installing this package?
Thank you.
Link to OneDrive version 23.054.0313. After stopping any of the OneDrive autoupdates first, then installing this version seemed to work on Catalina.
I found the same problem today. The Onedrive 23.066.326 can't launch under 10.15.7 and it's impossible to download an old version in AppStore.
owever, I found that on the download page of Microsoft Ondrive, v23.054.313 is still provided. It seems to be a delay between the website and Appstore. After installing this version Onedrive can be launched as before!
Here's the link. It may be updated at any time so download it ASAP.

After installing a previous version, Microsoft always seems to download and install the latest version independently, regardless of whether you have deactivated autoupdate or not.
Removing the files below from the package contents seems to fix the problem. At least Onedrive syncs again and doesn't crash right away. Without guarantee, it was a successful attempt with a wooden hammer at first glance.
