OneDrive Will Not Run MacOS Catalina 10.15.7

I have had Office 365, including OneDrive running on this Mac for several years. Yesterday, OneDrive updated itself (I have the Microsoft AutoUpdater set to automatically download and install updates) to version 23.061.0319. Following that update, it will not run.

I click on the icon in the launchpad, nothing happens

I click on the icon within Finder->Applications, nothing happens

I do not get an error message, there is nothing in the system log, it does not show up in application monitor, it seems to be just dead.

Here is what the system says about the OneDrive.app:

If I run Microsoft AutoUpdate, this is what it shows for Microsoft products:

None of the Office products is up to date (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook). They are all on version 16.66 because the next version, 16.71 requires an OS Update, which will never come, because this macbook (Macbook Air, mid 2012) is too old and Catalina 10.15.7 is the most upgraded it can get.

Only OneDrive is up to date, v23061.0319, installed yesterday on 4/3/2023.

What can I do to get back to a previous version of OneDrive so that it works??? This sucks that it did not recognize that the most current version is not compatible with my laptop.

I did a simpler thing...

I went to library --> Application support--> Deleted one drive--> deleted auto updater for Microsoft and one drive (different files)--> emptied recycle bin.

restarted the MacBook--> Downloaded the one drive from this link by Aaron---> installed it---> went to recheck at library if the auto updater is re-installed and cleared it--> emptied the bin---> restarted the Mac---> now one drive working.no issues in last 24 hours.

One more thing---> After downloading the pkg---> Please switch off the internet before installing--> It will not autoupdate till you clear off the autoupdate folder.

I'm Currently using Catalina 10.15.7 and then I decided to use old version of OneDrive (21.203.1107.0004) based on Trial and error. OneDrive Version 21.203.1107.0004 is compatible and more stable for Catalina 10.15.7

After installation process completed then follow up with disable Launch Agent OneDrive Updater, OneDrive Standalone updater and also its daemon. You could connect to the internet to Sign in and Sync your data on cloud with your Finder.

There is no more OneDrive crashed in My Catalina MacOS ever after.
