Interesting. That is much older than mine. When I go look at the app in the Finder, it has an X over it. They purposely bricked it.
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
I have had Office 365, including OneDrive running on this Mac for several years. Yesterday, OneDrive updated itself (I have the Microsoft AutoUpdater set to automatically download and install updates) to version 23.061.0319. Following that update, it will not run.
I click on the icon in the launchpad, nothing happens
I click on the icon within Finder->Applications, nothing happens
I do not get an error message, there is nothing in the system log, it does not show up in application monitor, it seems to be just dead.
Here is what the system says about the OneDrive.app:
OneDrive:
Version: 23.061.0319
Obtained from: Identified Developer
Last Modified: 4/3/23, 3:18 PM
Signed by: Developer ID Application: Microsoft Corporation (UBF8T346G9), Developer ID Certification Authority, Apple Root CA
Location: /Applications/OneDrive.app
Kind: 64-bit
If I run Microsoft AutoUpdate, this is what it shows for Microsoft products:
None of the Office products is up to date (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook). They are all on version 16.66 because the next version, 16.71 requires an OS Update, which will never come, because this macbook (Macbook Air, mid 2012) is too old and Catalina 10.15.7 is the most upgraded it can get.
Only OneDrive is up to date, v23061.0319, installed yesterday on 4/3/2023.
What can I do to get back to a previous version of OneDrive so that it works??? This sucks that it did not recognize that the most current version is not compatible with my laptop.

• Sorry, I tried the URL for https://oneclient.sfx.ms/Mac/Installers/23.081.0416.0001/universal/OneDrive.pkg but it fails in the Safari, Chrome, Brave, Duck Duck Go, and Edge browsers. Must be inactive.
• My version of OneDrive is 23.226.1031 on my MacBook Pro (10.15.7). It does open, I can place files into it, but it does not appear to synch. The "in progress" symbol alongside the file name does not move. I can access OneDrive on my iPhone (iOS 17.2), but what I find in OneDrive are files from more than a week ago which had deleted. Now those week-old can still be opened on the iPhone but are not present on the MacBook.
Hoping for a newer version, but may try that one. Gotta keep their auto-updater from killing it.
It’s maddening. They support Windows 7! But not Catalina. All the installer needs to do is 1) look at the OS version and 2) if it sees Catalina, ignore it. Grrrr
Or, let us control OneDrive like all the other 365 apps. 🙄
Not sure how long it will work for but I'm on day two after reinstalling the build that worked previously that was suggested by Aaron_TX
OneDrive build 23.081.0416.001
If you don't have it saved: https://oneclient.sfx.ms/Mac/Installers/23.081.0416.0001/universal/OneDrive.pkg
(not sure if this still downloads the correct build since I used the version I had saved from last time)
Same problem here... Does a genius know the answer?
