OneDrive Will Not Run MacOS Catalina 10.15.7

I have had Office 365, including OneDrive running on this Mac for several years. Yesterday, OneDrive updated itself (I have the Microsoft AutoUpdater set to automatically download and install updates) to version 23.061.0319. Following that update, it will not run.

I click on the icon in the launchpad, nothing happens

I click on the icon within Finder->Applications, nothing happens

I do not get an error message, there is nothing in the system log, it does not show up in application monitor, it seems to be just dead.

Here is what the system says about the OneDrive.app:

If I run Microsoft AutoUpdate, this is what it shows for Microsoft products:

None of the Office products is up to date (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook). They are all on version 16.66 because the next version, 16.71 requires an OS Update, which will never come, because this macbook (Macbook Air, mid 2012) is too old and Catalina 10.15.7 is the most upgraded it can get.

Only OneDrive is up to date, v23061.0319, installed yesterday on 4/3/2023.

What can I do to get back to a previous version of OneDrive so that it works??? This sucks that it did not recognize that the most current version is not compatible with my laptop.

    Did you try the following:
    Install the LAST WORKING version (at my computer, I don't know which version) AND Install LuLu (https://objective-see.org/products/lulu.html).

    Read the short manaal of Lulu (or just try something, which what I did). In LuLu you can block processen. Just block the "OneDrive Updater" (name?). If you fail or you are just to late with blocking, Uninstall the update and re-install the old OneDrive again. I did it on all my old computers and it worked for me (thanks for LuLu !!).

    btw, I noticed that er are thousands of ways that ms update there apps. And each overruled the other one. I tried many things to stop, but without satisfying results. It seems it is typically when too many developers work on the apps. without a senior system engineer. I've seen that before when I was a developer in big companies. Everybody makes his own solution.
