I keep getting an error message whenever I use onenote that says "your system has run out of application memory". It pops up after a couple minutes and has been going on for about a week now. Prior to this it had never happened. this is extremely frustrating because i need to use onenote for medical school. has anybody else had this issue and how do i fix it? i dont know if it has something to do with the new apple update? Plzzzzz help!!

It's hard to give you an exact date because of the staggered way in which we rollout Office Updates, but I can tell you that an improvement had been checked in.. and its a matter of releasing the update that should reach customer before end of year.

You can try to join the Insider Mac https://insider.microsoft365.com/join/mac, to get the update quicker.
I am having the same issue as everyone else in this thread, I am a veterinary student and use One Note for all my lecture slides and notes. I am currently forced to use the online version of One Note which is a bit more annoying to use than the app, but at least I can still use One Note while we wait for the fix to be released. How will we be able to get the fix? Will it just automatically update One Note or do we have to download it somehow? Hoping that it can be released ASAP thank you so much for your reply!!! :)
New clue. It is useful to try the online version of OneNote. There, I got a message that the section that will not sync had "grown too large." See yellow box with text near top of screen grab.
It is not at all clear why this thread has not reached the attention of Microsoft at least to the level of a polite "we are working on it" acknowledgement.
