I purchased a M365 Family subscription so I could use Defender for Individuals on my and my children's devices. The subscription is being shared with both children's MS accounts. I can sign into Defender normally on my PC and Android device, but when I try to sign into the Defender app with their Microsoft accounts on their Android tablets, I get an error: "Invalid license, please contact administrator".
This is happening on two different Android tablets with both their accounts, so I don't think it's a device based issue. Is anyone else seeing a similar issue trying to setup Defender for Individuals on a M365 Family subscription?

Hi there, I'm following I have the same problem on my daughter's sam sung galaxy tablet with family link.
I got a wonderful marketing email about defender for family subscriptions yesterday that even used on children's safety.
Unfortunately, it still doesn't work on my children's accounts attached to my M365 Family subscription.
What gives, Microsoft? Do I need to track down the Product Manager via my Micsor9ft connections?
We are experiencing this same thing. My wife and I are using defender on our devices that are not managed by Google family link. I can even see my kids on my defender and have them setup for monitoring. However when I try to install the latest ms defender from the Google play store I get the invalid license. I even tried signing in with my account and see the same thing. My daughters phone is an S22 and we have had a family plan for over 7 years.

With us it is the identical problem.
Defender is installed on three Android phones.
My wife has it without Google Family Link. The Defender works.
Mine with Google Family Link. Defender works.
On our daughter with MS child account and Google Family Link. Defender does not work.
What really disappoints me is that Microsoft seems to just ignore this problem. As a customer you are willing to commit to Microsoft and then you are disappointed again and again.
