Split from this thread.

Same issue in our office. All users with O365. It started over this past weekend (07/09/2022). Only Excel files when doing a Save As, Browse. Some users experience it with File Open.

All other applications work without issue. Nothing in event viewer shows any problems.

The latest release of the Monthly Enterprise Channel, Build 2205, Version 15225.20356 does not have this problem. In our experience is the Current Channel, Build 2206, Version 15330.20246 and 15330.20230 that have the issue.

Thanks for the info. Hope all of this chatter makes it to the proper MS staff to correct the 2206 build. I also reported this via the Feedback within Excel. Meanwhile, I will continue to find a way to switch our users to the releases that work. Your input will be very helpful.

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/deployoffice/change-update-channels

We created a new install with ODT using the Monthly Enterprise Channel and deployed it to all of our machines.

    Hi TAT2027,

Thanks for your valuable feedback and sharing updates with us and I appreciate your kind words.

Regarding to, "I will now try to figure out how to change a user to Switch Channel so they can access the release that works." you use Office development tool (ODT) to change your Current channel. For your reference:

    Office Deployment Tool

Change the update channel with the Office Deployment Tool (ODT)

Your understanding and patience will be highly appreciated. I hope that you are keeping safe and well!

    Best Regards

    Waqas Muhammad

I have seen the same issue with redirecting our documents to a DFS share. The last version that worked was 16.0.15225.20288. I have reverted back to this version.
